The group devises cryptic clues for crossword puzzles, meeting usually on the third Monday afternoon of each month at the home of one of the members.
The group leader fills a grid with words, and this is handed out at the end of the meeting. As ‘homework’, the members think up clues for these words, and bring their efforts to the following meeting. The clues are then discussed and analysed.
The best clues are chosen and the resulting puzzles appear regularly in the local U3A newsletter, and occasionally in the national U3A newsletter.
The group currently consists of five members, which is the ideal number. If you are interested or would like further information please contact - firstname.lastname@example.org
